The worst place we can be is what Tony Robbins calls “no man’s land.” It’s where you want change but not enough to do something about it.
And let me tell you, if that’s the worst place then the 2nd worst place is the relapse after change. When you think you have a new positive habit down and relapse. Or when your enthusiasm (usually from something you read or saw) carries you into making a healthy habit you set your mind to and then you lose your enthusiasm soon after. And then you’re back to the older habit. Those are the lesser talked about experiences. Why? Who knows.
I’m working hard to understand myself more, all the time. I’m constantly trying to bring myself to new challenges. Staying away from “no man’s land.” Progress really pours in when we get intentional.
